PictureMaster is a utility that simplifies working with all types of graphics and documents that contain pictures. With PictureMaster, you can easily suppress printing of entire picture boxes or just their contents, apply suppression to all boxes in a document simultaneously, apply greeking to individual pictures, automatically resize picture boxes to fit their pictures, batch-delete pictures that are no longer needed from documents and disks, and obtain information about pictures.
Picture Greeking
----------------
To apply greeking to an individual picture, choose the Greek Picture option from the PictureMaster menu. The currently selected picture box will be greeked (the picture will be replaced by a gray rectangle on the screen, but will print normally). This speeds up scrolling through long documents or documents with large pictures that may take a few moments to redraw.
Size Box To Picture
-------------------
To resize a picture box to fit its picture, select a picture box and then choose Size Box To Picture from the Utilities menu. The picture box will resize itself to fit the picture it contains, even if the box is rotated.
You can also choose Size All Boxes To Pictures, which will resize all the picture boxes in the document to fit their pictures.
Optionally, you can have PictureMaster automatically set the scale percentages of pictures to a certain value before fitting their boxes. For example, you may choose to have PictureMaster rescale pictures to 100% before resizing their boxes. To do this, select PictureMaster Preferences... from the Edit->Preferences menu and set the scaling percentage.
Picture Suppression
-------------------
Using the Picture Suppression dialog, you can suppress the printing of pictures or entire picture boxes in a document. The scrolling list field contains a list of all the picture boxes currently in the document. To suppress a picture box' contents, double-click in the Picture column of a picture in the list. A small dot (•) will appear indicating that the picture has been suppressed. To suppress the entire box as well as the picture, double-click the Printout column of a picture in the list. A small dot (•) will appear indicating that the box has been suppressed. Double click either column again to turn off the suppression.
PictureMaster can optionally ignore empty and locked picture boxes. To do so, check the Ignore Empty Picture Boxes and Ignore Locked Boxes check boxes. You can also see each picture box that you are working on by clicking the Show Me button. PictureMaster will display the picture box that is currently selected in the picture list in the upper left corner of the document window.
At any time, you can apply the current attributes (i.e. suppression) of the selected picture in the list to all picture boxes in the picture list by clicking the Apply To All button. Click the OK button to have the changes take effect. If you change your mind and decide not to apply the attributes, click the Cancel button.
To delete a picture, click the Delete Picture button. To delete the picture and its box, hold down the option key. The button Delete Picture will change to Delete Box. Click the button to delete the box and the picture. You can multiple-select pictures in the list and delete them all at once. To make a continuous selection, hold down the shift key while clicking on picture names. To make a discontinuous selection, hold down the Command key while clicking on picture names.
If you only want to list pictures that start with a specific prefix, then check the Name Begins With: check box, enter a name, and click the Find button.
Delete Pictures

One handy feature of PictureMaster is its ability to delete large numbers of graphics from a document and from folders on disks in a matter of a few mouse clicks.
To delete graphics, choose Delete Pictures from the PictureMaster menu. A dialog will appear indicating the options that are currently available.
To delete pictures that begin with a certain prefix, check the Name Begins With check box and enter a partial or full name. Only files that match this prefix will be deleted when this option is enabled.
If there is a document open, PictureMaster will enable the From Current Document check box. Check this box if you wish to delete graphics from the current (frontmost) document. If you wish, you may enter a page range to delete from, and can have picture boxes deleted along with pictures by checking the Delete Picture Box check box.
You may also choose a folder to delete graphics from. To enable this option, check the From Folder check box, and choose a folder by clicking on the Choose Folder... button. If you wish, you may include any sub-folders within the folder you select by checking the Include Sub-Folders check box.
To select what kinds of graphics get deleted, check the Specific Files check box. If you leave this option unchecked, then ALL FILES WITHIN THE TARGET FOLDER OR DOCUMENT WILL BE DELETED. Check the files that are of interest to you. If you have special files that do not fall within the specified types, check the Custom Type boxes and enter the 4-character file type of the files you wish to be deleted (i.e., 'JPEG' for JPEG-compressed files, 'BINA' for PCX graphic files, 'GIF ' for GIF files, etc.)
Click OK to start the deletion process.

This agreement between you (software licensee) and Lepton Technologies is a legal and binding agreement. Use of the enclosed software signifies your acceptance of this agreement. If you do not accept the terms of this agreement you should return the software and its accompanying documentation to the place of purchase for a refund.
1. GRANT OF LICENSE: Lepton Technologies grants the LICENSEE a non-exclusive non-transferable license to use the enclosed computer software (the SOFTWARE) on one single computer workstation with one single valid, registered copy of QuarkXPress for Macintosh.
2. OWNERSHIP OF SOFTWARE: LICENSEE owns only the physical media upon which the software has been recorded. Lepton Technologies retains full title and ownership of the SOFTWARE and all subsequent copies made thereof, regardless of the form or media in or on which the original SOFTWARE or any copies may exist. By accepting this License, you agree that you do not become the owner of the SOFTWARE or any copy of the SOFTWARE, and that you are being granted a license to use the software in accordance with the terms of this agreement.
3. BACKUP COPIES: LICENSEE is granted the right to make two (2) backup copies of the SOFTWARE and accompanying documentation for backup purposes only. Any other copying is a violation of this agreement. You may not remove the copyright notice from the original or any copy of the SOFTWARE or its accompanying documentation.
4. RESTRICTIONS OF USE: LICENSEE may physically transfer the SOFTWARE from one single computer workstation to another single computer workstation, provided that the SOFTWARE is used only on one computer workstation at a time.
5. TERMINATION: This license is effective until terminated. LICENSEE and Lepton Technologies both agree that this agreement shall be automatically terminated without notice from Lepton Technologies if LICENSEE fails to comply with any of the provisions of this agreement. Upon termination, LICENSEE agrees to return the SOFTWARE and any copies made thereof and its accompanying documentation and any copies made thereof to Lepton Technologies.
DISCLAIMER: IN NO EVENT SHALL LEPTON TECHNOLOGIES BE LIABLE TO A LICENSEE FOR ANY SPECIAL, DIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FROM THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE. IT IS THE LICENSEE’S RESPONSIBILITY TO TEST THE SOFTWARE AND BE SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS BEFORE RELYING ON IT.
